Review of Groups and Classes

Overcomers  Overcomers is for those who are looking for healing from the brokenness of damaged emotions and who want to embark on a spiritual journey toward the healing and wholeness found in Christ. It provides empowerment to anyone seeking to develop dependence on God, rather than a false trust in self, through yielding their lives to Christ.   Ongoing Class, Class is Free.  From 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m

Conquering Codependency  Feeling overwhelmed?  This class is for women who are tired of adjusting their behavior to meet the needs and expectations of others;  for women who seem to sacrifice their own needs while focusing on meeting the needs of others; for women who are exhausted from trying to manage the lives of others. The Conquering Codependency Christ-centered group will help you begin the process toward recovering from codependency, acknowledge and define compulsions, deal with painful guilt and depend on God through Christ to restore you to spiritual and emotional health.  12wk Class, Class cost (including Book) is $50.  From 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Shelter From the Storm offers hope and healing as it examines false beliefs about abuse;  the overwhelming effects of abuse on the life of survivors, the process of grieving the pain from sexual abuse, learning to let go of the past, the process of reclaiming trust, control and intimacy, the road to recovery through the Word of God and the path with God's help, from victim to survivor to thriver.   12 Wk Class,   Class Cost (including Book) is $50.  From 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Anger Management  Anger Management class helps to identify what anger means to you, what it’s purpose may be, where it comes from and gaining control over your anger.  In this six week study you will learn how to deal with anger wisely when you enter its "world" in your heart and mind. The study begins by explaining how to understand your anger, and it concludes by giving insight into dealing with anger that is directed towards you.  Anger management is a Bible based study group for women.  "Keys to Breaking the Cycle of Anger, Finding Peace in the Middle of Life's Storms" by Barbara Gardner, board member & Biblical Lay Counselor at the Women's Refuge.  6 Wk Class, Class Cost including Book is $30.   From 3p.m. - 5 p.m.
